Erika is originally from a small town in upstate NY, north of Albany.  She attended Castleton State College in Vermont and received her B.S. in Physical Education with a second major in Sociology.   After graduating, she taught Physical Education at an Elementary School in Vermont for 2 years.  She moved to Long Island in June 2004 and attended The College of New Rochelle where she received her M.S. in Guidance and Counseling.  Prior to coming to Stony Brook she was in College Admissions for 3 years working with prospective Graduate, Transfer and Freshman students.   She started at The College of New Rochelle as an admission counselor then became Assistant Director of Admissions at Long Island University C.W. Post.  Erika works as an Undergraduate College Advisor for Human Development.  She also coordinates Stony Brook's National Student Exchange Program.
